We all how people these days are getting too reliant on their digital devices. And we also know that too much screen time may be dangerous, regardless of whether you leave the TV on all the time, or your family spends the entire day glued to their smartphones. It is alarming and downright frustrating.
Aside from the well-known negative effects like behavior and educational problems, interrupted sleeping patterns, violent emotions, family relationships, and even obesity, TOO much screen time can lead to other health problems. The most notorious health issues are caused by blue lights.
- Digital eye strain
- Migraine and severe headaches
- Blurry vision
- Lost focus
- Loss of appetite
- Mood swings
These are only some of the harmful effects of blue lights on us. We could spend an hour or two talking about it.
Over time, repeated exposure to blue lights may harm retinal cells and result in vision issues including age-related macular degeneration. Additionally, it may increase the risk of cataracts, eye cancer, and growths on the transparent layer that covers the white area of the eye. If these health issues don’t alarm you, I do not know what will.
